Anyone know what the initial cost is for this course?

Just a ballpark is good.

Thanks

In the ballpark of 16k. Our training cost were setup through a broker.

IA-JET rating is about 16k......... + hotels and all that sh!t.... 10 days for initial. Upgrade is about 6 days if you all ready qualify as SIC. And have I think over a 100 hours sic in airplane with some other requirements

don't pay more than $13,700 for the type (ia-jet) from simuflite. the still make a good share from this amount.and that's an initial as of this fall.

what about picking up the phone and dial a 10 digit number
800-527-2463
It's really not that hard and they won't bite...

I got typed in June '04 and paid $14,000. This was a slight discount because I was supposed to be in the May class, but someone screwed up and didn't book me, and the class was full. But, the truth is, if you talk to 10 different people, you will get 10 different prices. It seems to vary depending on how much you wheel & deal.

Anyway, the initial type is actually 14 days, including the checkride, with a day off at around day 7. I don't know why someone previously posted 10, that is for SIC.

Just FYI....

I did my IA-JET initial at Simuflite back in January, total cost; $10,500 excluding hotel, food and rental car. I have heard $13k-16k... Depends on who you talk to... then again I was only planning on doing the SIC ride, which was originally $8000, but somewhere around day 9 the chief pilot decided to have me typed..... kinda wacked out Simuflite's schedule, they had to juggle it a bit, but they worked it out and I did my ride with the program manager...

Great bunch of folks there at Simuflite...

BTW longboarder.... what kind of board do you ride? I have a Orion 8ft.. we had a trip to costa rica earlier this year for 5 days, wish I had shipped it down there on delta.... ended up riding waves with a rental at playa negra and around tamarindo beach on the gold coast... awsome waves!
