Women in Corporate Aviation, Intl. (WCA) is pleased to announce they will present several scholarships at the 2006 NBAA Annual Meeting & Convention, Oct 17-19, in Orlando, Florida. These scholarships are open to both men and women interested in continued pursuit of a career in many job classifications in corporate/business aviation or those interested in a career in corporate/business aviation. Applicants should be actively working toward their goal and show financial need. The following scholarships are being offered:

Inspection Authorization Scholarship Sponsored by ATP & King's School of Aeronautics: ATP (Aircraft Technical Publishers), and King's School of Aeronautics announce an important industry sponsorship for a scholarship package to an Airframe and Powerplant Technician in corporate or business aviation. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a selected aviation professional in earning their Inspection Authorization (IA) and equip them with the tools to use their IA for a year. Applicant can be a man or woman and must be a licensed FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and be eligible to take the IA written test (copy of signed FAA Form 8610-1) at the time of application and demonstrate financial need. This award is for the Inspection Authorization Prep Course presented by King's School of Aeronautics valued at $570.00. The award also features an ATP IA Professional Regulatory CD (FF1) 3-month subscription as a learning aide to the winner for the exam and course and the exam fee. The winner will receive a one year subscription of IA Professional Regulatory CD (FF1) to equip them with the tools to use their IA for one year for a total value of $787.50. Winner is responsible for all travel costs incurred to attend the King’s IA Prep Course in Florida. Winner must start using award within 18 months of receiving the award and the award is non-transferable. Scholarship Total Value: $1,357.50

Cessna Aircraft Company/WCA Commercial Pilot Scholarship - a scholarship to a man or woman to assist them in completion of their Commercial License. Applicant must have their Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating at time of application and 2nd Class Medical. This award is for a $500 in funds from WCA and $500 from The Cessna Aircraft Company to assist the winner in completing their license, and a Commercial Student Pilot Kit from The Cessna Aircraft Company. Scholarship Total value: $1,300.00

Women in Corporate Aviation Career Scholarship– a $1,000 scholarship to a man or woman who is interested in continued pursuit of a career in any job classification in corporate/business aviation. The award can be used toward the NBAA Professional Development Program (PDP) courses, flight training, dispatcher training, or upgrades in aviation education, and so forth, but cannot include general business course work. Scholarship Value: $1,000.00
