Hello fellow flyers,
Just got a call from Ryan Int'l. They want to interveiw me asap for a class in early Jan!!! Do any of you out there currently work for Ryan or know somebody that does? Need info on company, how long in buisiness, QOL, schedules, reserve, Bases, where most new hires go, commutability out of DFW, etc. (Their Web site is under construction) I know they do unscheduled charter flights to Cananda, Mexico the Carribbean, etc. Something about a 6 month stint in Dublin, Ireland during the winter months. Is this a place to hang your hat for the long run or just another stepping stone? Need any and all info that anyone can give!
Thanks in advance

What plane are you interviewing for........A320? B737? B757?

I am on the 757 for Ryan, so I can't speak much for the quality of life for the 737 guys. The 757 does a lot of DOD stuff, so you fly to a lot of different places, and are gone a lot of the time. The 737 stuff is the charter market flying to the Carribean and Mexico. They did have a base in Dublin this summer, but I'm not sure whether that will happen again this summer or not. Charter work is seasonal, (busy winter, not so busy summer) so historically there have been seasonal furloughs. Again, if the Dublin thing happens again, this may not happen. As far as I'm concerned, it is what it is, and I haven't had a paycheck bounce yet. There are some issues with scheduling, but for the most part, it is an OK job. Hope that helped.
