Seems to me there was a link on this site to a whole whack of Rules of Thumb for pilotos, anyone know?
Things like the 3:1 rule of descent planning etc

Oh, I thought that was the size of the stick that the CA uses to beat the FO when they don't comply with the 3:1 and miss a crossing restriction

Amazing. the flightinfo.com website =started= as a site providing rules of thumb. Now you have to search to even find them, but a very few of them are still here, buried in an area called "instructor hints"
