Wow!!

25 % reduction in pilots. Down to 6000 with a B scale for Shuttle flying. An increase in block hours from current average of 36 per month to 86 per month.

As it is UAL pilots have little choice but where will moral be. Whether you feel UAL wages were reasonable or not it is fair to assume people live up to their incomes and lifestyles. How will these senior 6000 pilots feel flying 2.5 times more for substantially less money.

Can a shuttle system that failed once be implemented now that UAL cash position, simply put, SUCKS. It was one thing to compete with SW when times were "good" but now when they are struggling to keep their heads above water???????????????

Who do we look up to now; Now that the top is racing to the bottom.?

No one has said that the "new" shuttle operation will be operated like the "old" one had been. It seems that at a minimum, the pay scales will be significantly reduced.

Just wait and see how it all comes together.

86 hours/mo?

Unless United is going to start driving 1900's or J-32's, 86hrs/mo will put them over 1000/yr, and they will have the last half of December off. :)
