Comair's are the same. I think someone said its something to do with the paint on the emergency exits or something like that.

CR9s can't compare to the E170s...

IF Delta Connection has to have that sized aircraft (and DALPA allowed it), I wish they would get more E170/175s vs. the tubular, poor-performing CR9. What's up with the crazy, misaligned windows for the passengers? Have you noticed how the windows are not aligned with the rows? Great job Canadian engineer dorks on that one.

The E170s are sooooooo much nicer for the pax (and those of us who commute).

They are supposed to be correcting the window problem on the NextGen series that are to start coming out shortly.

As for poor performing...you don't know what you are talking about.

It performs as well or better than the 700.

As for the paint issue, the "connection" was originally supposed to be on there (it is on the boarding door side of the plane)...but it had to left off because it would have ended up on part of the emergency exit that couldn't be covered. Delta didn't want their paint scheme changed so the paint shop just left it off.

Interesting because XJT's 145's have the Connection on both sides. (Does go over the Galley door/Exit door)

Yea, it is a bit bizarre...not sure what exactly it was covering.

Has nothing to do with windows. Delta is phasing out the word "Connection" on all their regional carriers.

Then why is it on the other side of the airplane?

Scroll down to the title "Delta Connection and Freedom Accept New Aircraft" and you will see "connection" is clearly there.

How soon before some Delta Connection guy claims he flies for "mainline" Delta, when this Connection logo comes off?

Well now they "fly the small jets for Delta" why change?

I have been out of the regional loop for a while. PNCL is flying connection for Delta? I saw one of the planes mentioned above at the Delta terminal at DFW the other day.

PCL has signed a 10-year service agreement with Delta for 16 -900s, the first was delivered in November, with deliveries continuing through July. PCL is opening an ATL base, and under the agreement, could receive additional -900s.

Thanks for the update, where is PNCL getting the pilots? They were always a few dozen short when I worked there.
