Does anybody know anything about the Piedmont/Alleghaney merge? Can crews bid for all bases (if open) after July 1?

As I understand it the july 1st thing is everything but flight operations. We are still trying to hack out the seniority list intergration.

My thought would be no. We are only merging the company. The operationla end of the merger will happen later. Only after all that is taken care og would there probably be the possibility of bidding other bases. We will most likely be run as separate entities until that is complete.

Sure you will be able to bid different bases soon. Only when they open up right now, dont think ALG guys will be able to bump PDT guys out of there base.. and vica versa. With MDA hiring our guys now, I think the intergration will go a lot smoother then many think. You will see a bunch of senior guys going over to MDA. With the pay on longevity for WO's it could be up to a 30k pay increase for many that get Capt. slots. However for FO's, I believe with the work rules and pay credit, FO's will still make the same or more then MDA FO's which is crazy.... oh well...
