Friend of mine said that last few weeks over 30 PSA pilots resign!

Anyone knows if that is true and where did they went.

????????Curious where your friend recieved the information? There has been quite a few J4J guys leave, and one or two go to SWA, and other places. I doubt 30.

Just wondering!

I was surprised myself after hearing about it. That is why I asked if anyone has more info.

My friend got info while riding jumpseat with PSA few nights ago.

thanks

hey, i didn't want to come off sounding like a jackass, just couldn't resist making fun of your grammar.. cheers!

dorkprob do you know? How many J4J PSA has.
As of June 11th, there were 86 J4J Capts., not including the ones that went into the Training Department. I lost track of the FO's since we've already been hiring off the street.

There are a total of 465 pilots on the property right now, which includes those in Mgt. and Trng. Of that 465, 288 are original PSA prior to the first J4J.

Airways is a sinking ship that is going down fast, does this surprise anyone?

This would be like questioning why so many Piedmont and Allegheny guys are trying to get the **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** out of there while they still have that option available to them.

It does not look good for Airways...

350, you keep saying that but there hasn't been any announcement or other recent indicator that U faces imminent doom. GE has not pulled the financing yet, nor indicated that they plan to. I certainly agree that U has a long road to recovery, but they are much further along than other major carriers. The J4J guys are probably leaving because they are sick of the abuse by PSA's scheduling department. Life on reserve as an FO making a fraction of what you made before is probably no fun.

your information is not far from the truth. There have been pilots leave. The attrition rate for pilots though is nowhere near that for flight attendants who have a 70% attrition rate or crew schedulers who have had a turnover of 280% recently.
Pilots with experience moveon.... that's the nature of the industry. Some guys went to SWA, one guy I know for sure went to Jetblue and have heard stories of others going as well. Apparently some guys have also gone to MidAtlantic... not sure of exact details though.
