You should be proud to be at NWA. It is a great airline. Honestly, with every day that passes I support this merger more and more. It is going to be a great mix. I'll let you in on a little secret, I am looking forward to a little bit more rebelliousness over here, a little more militancy if you will. At the same time, our group is about as laid back as it gets. The dynamic that comes from the combination will make t a great place to work, IMO.

How's that for a fresh start?

I like it. I'm very familiar with how Delta works, I came from a (Quality)DCI carrier and things ran very smooth most of the time...even in ATL. NWA runs a good operation also, I only hope we can agree on how to run two great airlines as one.

Actually, the last and final "take it or leave it" offer from DALPA at the DC meeting had 1000 yet to be hired DAL pilots on the list prior to integration. It is not rumor and it was the proposal from Mr. Moak.

"Facts are meaningless they can be used to prove

any thing!" Homer Simpson.

But seriously, this thing will be over and we will

all have to get along. I am confident that will

happen.

For the record...

I am a NWA pilot and I am on the DC9. I have been furloughed for over 5 years. I have every reason in the world to lash out and be militant like some pilots in their posts.

I am looking forward to working with people who are proactive while still "having a pair." There's nothing worse than a pilot who is militant just for militancy-sake. I know the facts. This merger IS going to get done. Resisting it will be futile and draining the NWA bank account over the summer is going to do NOTHING to further our cause. It will only make the merged company weaker.

On the other hand, when I hear about DS getting $22 MIL or Gary Wilson's executive secretary being paid by ME for 10 flippin years. I want to start throwin ---t! This new company better learn that this type of entitlement does nothing to build unity within the company.

A question for DAL pilots...

When you guys emerged from BK last year, did your non-contract management snapback to 100% pay on the first day you emerged? That is exactly what happened here at NWA. This is a really poor example of constructive, proactive leadership we seem to be lacking here at NWA. Especially when most contract employees took extensive pay concessions.

Bottom line is this. I look forward to flying with you guys at DAL. NWA pilots want to feel proud of the company they work for. Our management has proven time and time again they don't want a constructive relationship with us. On the other hand, I know DAL management has had a better standing relationship with its pilots. THAT I lool forward to. Anything will be an improvement.

Just wanted to give you a reason why you see a lot of anger from our side. (Heck, I didn't even get into the fact that our junior pilots were sold a bill of goods BY OUR OWN PILOTS during the TA vote to save the pensions of the most senior pilots. A lot of the junior pilots weren't even allowed to vote on the TA that we now live with because we were on furlough)

Hopefully the rhetoric will cool from the silent minority here and we can get on with our lives. Negativity and false accustaions are getting us nowhere.

Truth is, if you haven't signed a confidentiality agreement you don't know what was actually said or proposed during the negotiations. If you have attended a road show, you were told what you were supposed to hear and it was designed to garner your support for your side's direction. It's a negotiation, there are going to be differences of opinion. Let's leave it at that and refrain from the personal attacks.

I don't believe they are attempting to put 1000 DAL pilots who have yet to be hired above any pilot on the NWA pilot seniority list. There are however a large number of furloughed pilots on bypass, many of whom are back in the military and are currently serving in Iraq, who deserve to have their seniority number honored. They will come in above me as well if they chose to return. These may be your 1000 pilots.
