ARLINGTON, Va. (Reuters) - Bankrupt US Airways Group Inc. (OTC BB:UAWGQ.OB - news) said on Friday it agreed with jetmaker Airbus SAS (EAD.DE) (EAD.PA) to restructure orders for 38 aircraft, changing the model mix and taking 29 jets instead.

The Arlington, Virginia-based airline will take 10 wide-body A330-200 jets and 19 narrow-body A320 family aircraft, in place of one A330-300 and 37 A320s

That is a lot of A330's. I have herd lots of rumors of expaning into south and central america. I have even herd of U buying some of Uniteds South American assets if they are put up for sale...Any other ideas....

Yeah, I researched more and found they are planning on getting rid of 10 of the 767s. The -200 is a wonderful replacement. Much longer range than the -300...Could go from philly to Buenos Aires if they wanted...or Philly to Hawaii. boy wouldnt that be nice.

The 10 A330's are almost certainly replacements for our 10 767's. Our long-haul fleet will remain at it's present size of 19 aircraft.
