Description:
Conduct various types of maintenance training courses for customers, course types including both model-specific and generic courses. Evaluate student progress using both formal and informal methods. Use engineering data to make sure training material is accurate for all customers. Design and develop new courses and services as necessary to meet customers’ requirements.

• Instructing - teach advance technical classes, using both classroom and hands-on training methods. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper set up of training materials and presentation equipment, OJT training on the aircraft, OJT training in laboratory environment, and proper evaluation of student progress.
• Curriculum enhancement – recommend, make, and approve changes to course lesson plans, curricula, and other components of maintenance training courses and products to improve quality and maintain technical accuracy. Develop and present proposals to improve current training courses, products, and other services.
• Mentoring – coach and train less experienced team members.
• Function as the subject matter expert for multiple technical subjects to complete job assignments related to training material development.
• Perform technical proficiency checks of less experienced team members.
• Evaluation – ensure application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, mechanical design preferred.
• A minimum of 13 years’ experience in a technical classification.
• Prefer an FAA A&P license (or similar credential for non-US locations) with experience in maintenance or inspection on commercial aircraft, engineering degree with experience in commercial aircraft, or equivalent experience.
• Prefer Instructional System Development (ISD) training or experience.
• Familiar with computer applications, including presentation software, desktop publishing and database management.

• Professional/Technical Expertise - Has thorough knowledge of the job; keeps informed of latest industry developments. Is able to conduct advanced technical training for a specific subject area. Proficient in structural repairs across all aircraft models.
• Organization and Accomplishment of Work - Plans, prioritizes, completes work efficently and cost effectively; manages multiple tasks simultaneously while achieving expected amount and quality of work.
• Communication - Manages effective flow of communication; uses appropriate style, grammar and tone in both written and verbal communication. Contributes to meetings and group settings.
• Customer focus - Demonstrates a sense of urgency when working with both internal and external customers; available and responsive to customers’ needs and continuously seeks opportunities to satisfy customers’ expectations.
