We need to NATIONALIZE ! Call in sick and let the public take greyhound for a few days. I am sick of my paycheck being cut so Joe Smith can fly from point "A" to "B" for 20 bucks less ! I dont give a S___ what Jet fuel costs ! fill it up I am flying the F____ thing !

Lets get real ! I dont have a degree, 100k in ratings, and 10 year experience so my airline can tell me they cant afford to pay me a decent wage or or a COLA.

Management will always use the fuel cost against us until we take a stand and demand we are not going to take it ! Raise the GD ticket prices to pay us a decent wage ! I dont give a S____ what fuel costs it has nothing to do with me !

I about lost it when I was in the hotel lobby and a passenger asked me if the oil prices were hurting the airlines.

I told him that airlines have a hard time passing on cost increases to the customers. He told me that airlines needed to cut costs and were too expensive.

I also had a passenger in LAX tell me that last year she was able to get roundtrip tickets from FLL to LAX for less than $180 and that the prices had gone up too much. I calmly explained that it would cost almost $180 in fuel just to carry her one way.

You'd be surprised by the number of pilots that call the company for "favors" that violate the contract.

If passengers don't want to pay the prices they can sit home. People complain about the food in a food kitchen. Even if fares were free they would wonder why they arent being paid to fly.

The fact is we as a pilot group can do nothing about the price of oil, nothing. Given that fact, knowing what we know, the only way to survive is to make passengers pay whatever it takes to stop the bleeding. Passengers are still paying 1995 ticket prices while the cost of running an airline soars. Whine all you want about his so called "anger" towards passengers, I take it as an anger towards what passengers are paying. Guys, you can stick your head in the sand all you want, but we all are paying for them to fly. Now, let's hear all your weenie responses.

You're correct, upsetting the passengers is not high on my list of fun things to do. Unlike some people, I don't look down on my passengers as trash; unless they do something to deserve otherwise, I treat them with the same respect I want to be treated with myself.

But hey, don't let me spoil your fun. If being an ass to passengers is your thing, then by all means continue.
