Eagle has said hiring is going to increase.

We've had 20-30 captain vacancies a month being filled for a few months now.

If we add the 10 Saabs that keep popping up in the rumor mill, then this place will finally see some real movement. Granted, there are no orders for new aircraft, but an AA recall would be better than that.

If you remove the hiring freeze from 9/11/01 to early 2004 from upgrade times, then left seat is around 4-5 years now.

4-5 years??? Try 7 years 9/99 SF# CA LAX, and they dont go to training tell October. the only thing that will help is a AA recall.

i think he meant that eagle didn't hire anybody from 9/11/01 til some time in 2004. so once guys hired pre 9/11 upgrade the upgrade time would jump from 2001 to 2004. but that won't happen for a while.

Yeah, sometimes I like to pretend 9/11 didn't happen too (imagines self in 767 on trans-atlantic run)...
