Heard one of the websites you must pay to join had listed an email address to contact them.

Anybody?
Thanks
Chewy

Thanks....do I just inquire at that address or send a rez to that one? The conversation I eavesdropped on said something about a certain address to attach the rez to.

thnks

Last week their website had an address to send resumes to for future openings at Virgin America, though I just did a Google search and searched their main site and couldn't find it. Sorry, I had the address written down, but tossed it after I sent in my paperwork.

chewy,

email your resume to the address provided. You'll get back a form response, "Thanks...yaddaX3...".

100+ A319/320's doing coast to coast stuff and feeding Virgin Atlantic. Base San Fran. HQ in NY.

When hiring starts it looks like preference will be given to Airbus typed pilots followed by current 121 PIC and so on down the qualification line. Furloughs will more than likely have to resign from current employer. This from some buds who work at Virgin and in their HQ in the UK. However they will not be staffing with non US persons (that is a NO NO!!) CP is ex USAir so you can imagine where most will come from!!

I can't understand why everyone is lineing up for VA when no one knows the pay that is involved. If its anything like the other Virgin carriers you might as well send your resume out to Mesa to , because VA won't be that much better. I don't know how anyone can work for 10 years to be qualified to fly an Airbus, and then settle for sub par wages. I mean eventually its going to get to the point where we are all working for free. It took you 50K to get you certificates, only to slave away as a CFI, for nothing. Then you went to a regional to live off of food stamps for a while until you got your upgrade. Now you make not great, but alright money, and now have to hours to fly an Airbus. YAAAY! But because you want to fly an Airbus so bad you are going to settle for the same pay that you had at your regional just so you can say your a Major Airline pilot and wear a uniform. Im sorry, but that is ridiculous(sp). Ask a Dr, or an Accountant if they would work for low wages just because they enjoy doing there job so much. They would think that you are crazy. We are the only group of professionals that behave this way, and as long as we take this stance the pay is going to keep coming down.. Maybe by the time im able to make to a 777 the pay will be down to $5 an hour. But Heck, who cares that Im living on food stamps, I will be flying a 777. All of my dreams came true. Hint of sarcasim! Management loves this guys, just keep it comin. One other thing....I don't know where people get on this board by bashing the DL pilots for making a good living. I hear all of this " I love to make less pay" "you are a horribal person for being paid that much" "I would gladly work for less". WHAT THE HE*l! NO OTHER PROFESSION DOES THIS. WE ARE PROFESSIONALS AND DESERVE TO TREATED AS SUCH.

Ace 757, Dude, how can you NOT understand it?

Ever wonder what its like to be on the ground floor of a JetBlue or SouthWest or the new Frontier? Quick upgrade, a chance to make a difference where you work...Everythings a gamble.

Many MANY guys thought they got the Brass Ring when they hired on at AA,US Air, YO-nited etc... prior to 9/11. Now where are they?

Dosen't seem like too big a mystery to me. I've got my resume in there.

Sometimes, you just gotta roll the dice.

Just my .02 cents.

Im just saying that it can't get all that much better at VA even if you do well. I mean Heck....look at what they pay their widebody Captains. I think its somewhere around 80k! I can only imagine what a pilot on a A320 would make.

You ARE joking, right?

Branson....I say it again. Nothing but a dirty old man and the English version of Ornstien. "Sir" Richard Branson...what a joke. This airline is CABOTAGE in disguise.

That equates to about $130K for a widebody CA. Eek. Y'all have fun at Mesa 2.

Tailwinds...

Low rate is $126,000.00 per year + flight pay of $29.00 per hour (assume 800 hours per year) =$149,000.00 per year. +full medical, full pension and free travel.
High rate is $171,315.00 + flight pay $23,000.00 = $194,315.00 +full medical,full pension and free travel.

The company treats it's pilots well and is profitable. Definately not "Mesa 2"
They have my application.
