 There's one in every crowd.... thanx again for everyone's input but i have a couple more questions concerning training.. is five weeks the total time needed to complete training, i mean ground school and sim, or is the 5 weeks just ground?

Hawkerjet

You have 5 weeks of ground school in KYIP, which includes company indoc, security, hazmat, B747 systems ground school, CMA-900 training, international operations training and an exit oral given by one of the local check airman or the ground school instructor. You must pass the exit oral before you can go to the simulator. And remember you are on your own for lodging and you received $500 per week and no perdiem.

Then you will get any where from one to three weeks off before going to the simulator which will be about another 16-18 days. Lodging is paid for and you receive $1.50 per hour perdiem, or $36.00 per day.

After a few more days off, probably a week. Who knows?

You will get 25 hours of observation time in the airplane to learn how to use the onboard computer programs, the Trimble IO-2101, and the Litton 92's and the CMA-900. This is familiariztion training so you have some idea of the systems before starting your IOE which can be as little as 25 hours to 50 hours or more, depending on your past experience.

Once you finish IOE your paperwork is faxed to the company and reviewed after that you are released to crew scheduling. Let the adventure begin!

If Kalitta gave you longevity pay from the original Kalitta I'll have to take back all those bad things I've ever said about Connie.

Is there a 1000 PIC Jet req to get hired? What about for upgrading? What time do you need to meet insurance requirements?
