Sure you can. Just put them beside the F/O. Seriously, I have done it but they got beat up by the ramp crew in CLT. From then on, if I knew I was going to play golf on the road, I UPS'd them.

Check in at the ticket counter, and have them tagged as "Standby".

I think the question is: since you don't really have any sort of a "ticket," then how do they check them at the ticket counter - you don't have a reservation if you're jumpseating probably

try the search function on this board next time....it's quicker than starting a new thread.

Just make sure you have them check it all the way to your destination, regardless of if you get on or not.... so you can get on another airline if you need to. Otherwise it might get stuck in the hub or stay if you go.

If there is any damage or loss there is no recovery! Not sure the TSA will let you run them thru the Xray... unless your a FFDO then you can bring a golf cart and drive yourself to the gate!

I suggest the Paine Stewart knickers combined with a Tiger fist pump!!
