Hey all,

I'm trying to get to Spain right now, and ID90/ZED is not an option. I would like to know if anyone has any experience jumping on foreign carriers... I can get into Paris or London Easily as well as Jumping to Barcelona(where I am going). What I am not sure about is getting back!

Any info is appreciated.

PS

I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of Non-Rev/Jumpseat phone numbers/policies. Anybody have anything good?

THANKS!

I know that Delta and US airways fly into Madrid. At least they used to. Once in Madrid a one way to BCN might be only around 30 euros with "vueling".Can you jumpseat international with those? Not me...that's the problem!
How are you planning to get there?

Scube.

I don't know who you work for. But if your company has a reciprocal agreement with DAL, take them out of ATL to MAD or JFK to BCN. They don't have a "Int'l JS list" like CAL or AA. Get to the international service counter 90 minutes to departure time and get passport listed. After that it's a piece of cake.

As far as getting back. If taking DAL, get to the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure. Go to the DAL ticket counter. Ask them for a JS pass. They will look in the DAL computer reservation to see if they can find your company (whom ever that is). Make sure that you can tell them who you work for and that it is in their computer as such. At the time I worked for Atlantic Coast Airlines/Delta Connection. In their computer it was listed as ACA/Delcon. If they cant find your company, ask to look the list and look for other ways you company might be listed. Ie; Delcon/Aca ect. Point being. Be nice, professional, and courteous. When you get the JS pass they will tell you to go to the customs area to pay the departure/extortion tax. I think it was $40. After that go back to the ticket counter, get a boarding pass and go through security. It's not like the US where a uniform and badge will get you through.

Get through security and it's just like in the US. Go to the gate, talk to gate agent and tell them you are jumpseating. They will talk to the CA, they will probably take your ID and go talk to him while you wait at the gate. They will probably come back and say "no problem, just board at the end"

Anything else, PM me.

BCN is a cool town. Good Scenery, great wine/Sangria.

I was at MEM yesterday and they told me over there that If I wanted too jumpseat on mainline to AMS it would cost me 15 bucks. Don't know why, but they have some strange taxes or whatever back in the old country, so make sure you have some cash on you.

I can't go because of a personal commitment (ie, arm twisting) but thanks for the info.

I know I can get over there just fine, but it's getting back that may be a biatch! Plus I've heard that DAl only allows one JS.... I think I'l try it next time I have 5 days or so... so basically next YEAR!
