J/S HP to Costa Rica

Has anyone used HP (America West) to JS to Costa Rica in the last month or so ?? and if so how did it go. Thanks for any info.

j/s to SJO

Hey,

I used the j/s option with HP, PHX-SJO, but it was in early 2005....so take the following experience for what its worth.

Going out of PHX....piece of cake with the agents, crew, etc.
Coming back....I had to check in at the ticket counter, pay a service fee(10$), pay the departure tax (40-50$), and then waited for the crew to get permission to j/s back to the States. Just put yourself in a position where you cross paths with the crew when they check in at the ticket counter.....thats your golden opportunity! I believe your SOL if they pass security first without approving your j/s authorization.

My only delay occurred with the paperwork I received from the ticket counter to get through security. It was non-standard, carbon copies, so the local Costa Rican security reps had a field day with my Deshi a$$! I finally used my broken spanish to get the station mgr to come over to explain my situation. In retrospect, I wish I had my uniform with me....it would have cleared up any confusion.
