Be yourself, be current, don't lie, don't wear earings, and get ready to apply for stamps out of uniform......

Stamps? What do you mean by that

Food stamps. I'm a 4th year FO at XJT with 2 kids and am currently a proud participant of the WIC program. According to the government, I don't make enough money to provide proper nutrition for my children.

Good luck man. I've heard that its a two step process. After the first interview you get asked back and at that point they want to hire you. A buddy told me some questions asked of him...What would you do if you were the fo and..the capt was rushing you through checklists and you had not completed the Taxi check and you were asked to skip it and go straight to the Before t/O check?

His reply was a good one...Theres brakes on my side of the plane too!!!

Asked about things to consider when in rough air choosing a different cruising altitude such as rides being better lower but fuel burn sux, and you'll make the pax late. Whats your best answer? That kind of crap.

The first half is basically the interviewees being asked these types of questions in a classroom format. People asking the questions are an HR rep and a chief pilot or two. Then the second half is where its one on one with the Chiefs.
They are apparently sending the youngest in each class to CLE, then EWR, then IAH being the most senior. But you can base trade very quickly if you want. Present a positive attitude, and you'll do fine. You will have a great interview. Good luck.

But according to our fearless leader that's your fault.

So it's the gov'ts fault he made 2 kids, and decided to go work for 17,600/yr? Whose fault is it other than his own???

Are you really that thick skulled? You honestly believe that every employeer has the right (or is it duty) to dictate the lifestyle possibilities of its employees? We're not talking about not providing enough for everyone to own a mansion and 5 cars but enough for someone to provide for a family. We're professionals not out of work case studies found in urban America.

Ream is that you? Thats the most disgusting attitude I have yet to hear.

Slave;

PM me, I'll give you my number--- I wrote down the stuff they asked at my interview...

My B

Hello again--

I forgot about the "poor silly fools" comment from your CEO. I thought you were making a 'blame all my problems on the administration of this country' complaint.

Stand firm on getting what you deserve in your new contract!

Well, talked to DD and since I dont have a "current flying" job at the moment, it was VERY UNLIKELY to get hired. I left my instructing job last month because of financial short comings from months of low paychecks, and now I am SOL :-(
Anyone know of a plan B????

Slave;

I thought there was a 3 month currency issue, not a 1 month currency issue. So you didn't fly in June, and you have an interview in the beginning of July. I don't see the problem. At any rate, flying part time CFI sounds smart, do you think you can make that work?

I thought that I was current, I have 180 hours in the last 6 mos and she said they requrie 60?? I really wanted to get on with ExpressJet but it looks like I'll have to find another way. Im not sure on what the 3 mo currency issue is, if it is 3 mos maybe I should call her back??
