I had a template to use at an interview like this but I have no idea what I did with it.
Anyone know of a good "Proposal Format" to use while sitting down with the owner going through the different points.
I sit with him next week Tuesday.
.
I don't have a format but I would discuss scheduling of crews, trips, mx. Lead mechanic? Who or what is already in place? Or are you starting a flight department from scratch? hangar/office lay out. Let the know if you need a pilot. Current with 750 hours in type.

From scratch. Been going over some things, haven't had much time at all, looks like 91 needs the SMS/ISBAO. Just easy manuals to buy.
Also, now it might just be one plane. The other plane will be his friends plane if he wants me to also manage that one. That one just finished pre-buy inspection and getting closed on.
So for managing just one GIV-SP. The hardest thing to figure out is a salary for me. He asked me to have a number in mind when I come that I will require for the Management/Captain position. Using the 2011 salary survey, looks like $168,000 is fair salary to start.
I think one of the most important things bud is making his realize that you will treat this operation as it was your own airplane. There are alot of management companies out there that will promise the best for this guy but only have interest for themselves. You mentioned to me that this guy probaly will hav an airplane for a long time. So dont go overboard on salary and stay within company standards and just tell him that you will make owning an airplane a great experience. And start out with safety in mind and keep it that way. ALot of companies promise alot but cant deliver cause they wanna make extra money and keep costs super low. Remember there is no price on safety. If you can afford a g4, you have to know that it will cost money. But he will have the peice of mind that he will be safe anywere in the world with his family on board with pilots that are happy and treat that airplane as if where his own. If I dont feel safe in an airplane, whether it be cause of MX or training, or because we are trying to save money somewhere, why would i expect my owner to. At the end of the dayyou should be selling him on your honesty, trust, and experience. If trust you, you will be around for a very long time and your money will come!
