Just trying to interpret this thing. 97 FO positions removed and 80 Captain positions removed, so is it 97 guys on the street or 177?

There is a huge thread about it here and also on the npa web board if you have access to it, but right now it will be 177 total FO's on the street starting September 6th.

Anyone hired from the September 10th, 2007 class and beyond will be gone.

It is still being debated if we will be terminated, furloughed or furloughed with no recall rights.

I’m waiting to see what happens after august 7th, which is when all the early outs and voluntary leaves are due, which may effect the number of newhire FO's on the street.

You guys should not stand for this...are the instructors still allowed to be there when 177 of your pilots are gone?? If so WTF??????

I wouldn't put too much stock in the 177 number for now. I imagine that that number will drop below 100 when it's all said and done. Military guys will take leaves to go back to active duty, guys with side businesses will take LOAs, etc...
