I am asking because I was online priceing flights from LGA to DFW to fly my sister in laws mom out to Dallas and the prices for ATA were about 200.00 cheaper than AA,Delta,United.......What type of equipt. do they fly? I just thought I would go to the source so any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

ATA is a low cost major airline. They fly 737-800, 757-200/300 and the L1011. They also have saabs operated by Chicago express. They are a good cheap airline to fly. You will enjoy the service........Hope its ontime!!

Their 737-800s are nice. I've never flown on them but I've heard the service beats the "big majors" by a wide margin.

The 737-800s at ATA (which you most likely would be on with that routing) are all very new and have leather seating with adjustable headrests and in-flight entertainment. No meal service, however. But are any airlines still serving food on short flights like this? They do have drink/snack service.

ATA has a really good product. Too bad our marketing blows.

ATA is a top notch low cost carrier in my opinion, blows Southworst right out of the water... A large group of children from a local church needed to get to LA for some church event/workshop and they had a tenative reservation on SWA until I stepped in, they are no longer goin the SWA way..;)

I think your sister in laws mom will be very pleased with the service, equipment, etc, if you end up choosing ATA.

Ranked #10 out of the majors for passengers flown in 2003. No matter what you end up flying on, it will be a fairly new plane. There fleet of 7 L1011's are used for charter flights only. Coming from Indianapolis I've always flown on ATA or US Airways.

Thanks

We bought a ticket on ATA. There's more pos. than neg. feed back on them and the tickets were cheaper. Thanks for your inputs guys.

Jetmech:

Please let us know how it goes for your sister in laws mom, good or bad. If it is bad, we would like to know so we can fix any problems.

Whole milk:

I, too, would like you to elaborate on your joke comment.
