Does anyone know of any hotels in CLT that are close to where the PSA interview is held? The Rennaisance hotel doesn't have the special US Airways rate available.

If you have an interview maybe you should call them for suggestions. They would be the besy folks to answer that.

Are you in the 14-15th group or 28-29th group? And what's the US Airways rate?

Good luck!

There's no airline rates for Homewood Suites, but it's close to the hotel where the interview is taking place. I'm interviewing on the 28th....see U there.

Hugh. Is it safe to say that you have never interviewed with a regional or mainline airline? No one pays for your hotel for an interview. Skywest, Coex, Comair, USAir, Delta, FedEx and UPS, you pay for the hotel, NOT the airline.

Checkout the Wingate Inn...

Good Luck on the Interview!

As stated, hardly any airline pays for the hotel during the interview. PSA pays for air travel to the interview location. They also pay 72 hour guarantee, perdiem, and they pay for single-accomodation hotel during training. Many airlines don't do that either. Air Tran doesn't even pay for the hotel during training.

Are you suggesting he try to get hired by Eagle instead, where the upgrade to jet is 7+ years?

Well, AirTran doesn't pay because they expect you to live in Atlanta. If training is done in Miami for example then they get perdiem and hotel.

Hired by American Eagle December, 1996. Paid for airfare to Dallas and hotel for overnight.
1996 /vs/ 2004. Slightly different times in the airline world. Does Eagle still practice this?

A better way to compare is who pays for hotels, paychecks while you are in initial training.

I just been hired by a regional and they didnt pay for squat. I kind of gut lucky though. I met a girl, well actually a woman, and we hit it off on the plane ride. She asked me where i was staying and i told her a local motel. She invited me to her suite, where her company paid for it, and i ended up crashing on the sofa. We went out that night and had a great time. We have been together since.

The moral of the story is.........trying meeting a cutie on the plane and stay with her.

Now a company that supplies you with a room and a cutie while in training... now that's what I'm talking about!! :)
