Thought this a good location as any on this forum.

Captain Steve Pacelli passed away last night, no knowledge of death.

Steve was one a few of us that were US Navy Deep Sea divers. Salvage and saving lives... Steve retired as a Senior Chief. Spent a part of his diving career in Special Ops, did it all. Then an airline pilot!
The Hard Hat Divers of the Navy as well as friends in the Airline world will miss him, Hoo yaa!

Is this the same Steve P. that was a ground instructor at Comair? Did my E-120 training. Great guy God bless him.
Yea, he and another guy taught my E120 upgrade class there at the Comair academy.

Not only have I had the pleasure and privilege of being Steve's FO, I just saw him at JFK ops not five days ago. I was very shocked to see the news this morning on EPIC.

Godspeed to you, Steve, wherever you are!

Sorry to hear this. We all remember the folks that have had some kinda good impact in our lives. He seems to have made an impact on many in the Comair Family.

Sounds like he was "one helluva a guy" that will be greatly missed.

Understatement of the century right there. I just can't get over the fact that I saw him only a few days ago and he looked fine.

What a small world!

I served with Senior Chief Pacelli on the USS Ortolan in the early 90's. He had just completed hip Private license. He was full of enthusiasm for flying!

RIP BMCS

Steve was a squared away sailor and an all around great guy. My brother served with him on USS Ortolon and I got to know him at Comair academy. If someone has details of a memorial, please post or PM me as my brother and I would like to attend.
