Hey guys i am just wondering if any of yall know of any companies that bring on sic pilots with 750 tt and 155 multi. Eager to learn and progress and step out of my instructor shoes. Thanks.

Thats a long stretch, but you never know.

The most natural progression to decent corp jobs for young guys/gals is CFI/Charter/Corporate....with jobs obtained from friends who can vouch for you..

Another obvious but overlooked detail...be where the jobs are. Dont hit up the Fortune 100 in NY/Chicago/LA of you live in Sheephump, Iowa. Be where the jobs are, its all about increasing your odds and meeting people.

More typical mins for decent corp gigs are 4-5000TT, a type or two, a few PIC jet hours, 4 yr degree, clean background, and solid refrences.

Just a dose of reality...its competitive out there.

Best of luck!!

PS - I see you are posting everywhere to leave CFI'ing...why? I made more money as a CFI then any new regional F/O. Dont be in such a hurry, just fly your a$$ off and build experience.

Maybe focus on what field would suit you best? - you say you are looking for a regional job, a cargo job, and a corp job......just sounds scattered...

again, good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I am working towards it. One of my old buddies that used to instruct with me go lucky and went from instructing to flying a GII and making good money. Some people get all the luck. I know my time will come though. THanks again

Don't be in such a hurry... Your time will come... I CFI'ed until I had 2,400 hours... Your best bet would be get to 1,200-1,500 hours and hit up some charter operators, you'll have a much better chance getting hired low time than at a decent Corporate job... "Typically" the "Corporate" jobs that hire real low times are sh!tass jobs that no one else wants, thats why they hire low time guys, it is the only guys they can usually get...

Good Luck!

"Typically," but not always, I've got a good job that I am very happy with and I was hired with 550 TT and 32 ME (only the ME rating and MEI course, no dual given in ME)
It's an aircraft management company that does 95% part 91 (we are the corp department for a growing (3 billion a year) company) and we also do 5% 135.
Of course my first year the pay wasn't great (still well above first year regional pay) but it increased the second year and there is a substantial "longevity" increase at the end of your second year.
Keep looking, there are jobs out there. However, I do realize how incredibly lucky I was to land this job with what little I had to offer.

Where do you live now?

A "Management Company" is basically a Charter Company with regular clients whom they manage their planes for... Simply the client owns the planes instead of the Charter company... Basically the hiring minimums are generally identical to charter (as your case proves)... That would be a good place to start for low timers, a lot more like chance of getting hired than walking into IBM, GM or the sorts and hoping to get hired with 750 TT...

I just want everyone to know that i am just exploring my options. I doesnt matter whether i instruct for 1 month to 2 years. i am still going to fly and have fun till i get in somewhere. I enjoy reading everyones responses. Most of yall are guys whom have been there and done that and i respect that thats why i ask questions. Thanks again to all.

Sounds like you have the right attitude towards your flying. Things will come along. Just be patient.

There are some (though you'll be very lucky to hit it on the right day and time) large flight departments that hire low timers. Several years ago IBM did hire a guy with 7-800TT. Last year Coke in ATL hired two or three with less than 1000TT for their GIV/GV's. I've heard that one hasn't worked out as well as planned, but as far as I know, all are still employed there.

I see what you're saying about the managment company. I didn't mean to sound like it was easy to just walk into a large Fortune 100 or better company and get hired with such low times, just that there are good companies out there that operate good equipment. I guess I threw the term management in there because saying charter has some negative connotations to it. We do some charter but it's a class act, from line service to maintenance to the guys sitting up front. And we do act as the Corp. dept. for the aformentioned company, they own our management company. I know, interesting situation, but things are good.

Keep plugging away, you'll find something. You would be amazed at how far a great attitude will take you. It helped in my case. I just had my annual review with the CP and things went good. He happened to mention attitude and said that that is what got me the job 2 years ago. They weren't looking for anyone when they decided to hire me. So keep the positive attitude, it WILL make a difference, especially in this type of flying.

I think Coke is the manifestation of a disturbing trend--hiring low-timers for low wages into the right seat just to save money(or to fill a quota). I've heard Eli Lilly is doing that here in IND. Nothing new for the industry but for the F500 companies to do it stinks.

You'll have a great job but will probably see captains occasionally hired in ahead of you to cover attrition. JMO.TC

There's a company in N.C. Outerbanks that sells sight seeing tour during the summer. Granted it's not a corporate gig, but you build time & live by the beach.

LMAO !

I am sure 100% of the Gator fans are happy as well that he is gone...:)D)

This move was probably viewed as the second coming for most if not all Floridians!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zook is a good guy. He just wasn't up to the standard we expect at Florida. Any football coach here has to beat Tennesee, Georgia, and FSU regularly to keep his job. It's that simple. FSU being the most important, Zook got that one done for us, but came up short on the other two. Urban Meyer looks to be pretty good, apart from having a weird name. He better be for $2,000,000.00 per year!

Quick joke:
What has 10,000 legs and 3 teeth?

The Tennesee side of the field.

LOL!
Zook has tremendous recruiting power. He couldn't get the results that the Gators wanted but he was 23-14 in three seasons...In eight seasons Ron Turner only had a few more wins than that. We're excited here, anybody is better than what we had and I think the AD made the right choice...for a change.

The crew that flew him up here and back for the press conference the other day said he was a nice guy.
