I'm trying to find a glass cockpit simulator in either FL or the Chicago area for a friend. They have an interview with a regional that is high about time either flying glass or being in a sim. So they are renting a 172 with the g1000 to help out a little. But would like to find a sim to actually do some approaches and stuff. Not looking for the big programs at atp or phoenix east. Just a couple of hours,, anyone know of some places in these areas? Thanks

First Yuengling is one of my favorate beers.

Your friend will do as well with Flight Sim on his computer than rent a simulator. At $500 to $1000 an hour a simulator will put him back more than just reading the FS book and playing for a couple of hours. The Fedility of FS is very good and the controls on the aircraft are represented well in the computer program. When he goes for the sim ride they know he has not flown the aircraft. They are more looking for basic instrument skills than specific aircraft knowledge.

That being said, my first interview in a sim was a disaster because all my flying was in the aircraft and I had never even seen a full motion sim before much less flown one.
