I have my interview with Mesaba tomorrow, any last words of advice or ways to calm down? I feel like I can't study enough and I will forget everything when they start asking me questions.

Here is what I do before any interview or any checkride for that matter:

Don't cram too much the night before. In fact, maybe brush up for a half-hour or so, then watch TV the rest of the evening. Give yourself plenty of time in the morning for a warm shower and preparation, and before you get dressed, sit on the edge of the bed and concentrate on your breathing and visualize yourself succeeding in the interview and how you would answer certain questions that might pop up, and how you will do your introductions and present yourself. In other words, go through your script in your head and don't worry about memorizing it, just brief yourself -- when the time comes, you will be surprised what comes back to you even though you think you forgot it because you didn't memorize everything.

No one is out to get you in the interview process, and so long as you put your best foot forward and believe that you know your stuff, you will be great. Don't sweat it too much, but I know, easier said then done!

Good luck!

Oh yeah, EAT breakfast for God's sake. If you are a nauseaous nervous type, I guarentee you that you will be sick if you don't eat. Food in your stomach will atleast give your stomach something keep its mind busy and your brain something to feed on.

So much of interviews isn't what you know but how you present it and what kind of person you are.

Everyone can be trained. Not all people are people you can spend a month in a cockpit with together. Those are small rooms and you're locked in there with the other person.

Your interviewers, especially if they're pilots, aren't going to bust you if you miss a question here or there. Just be a person that they think they can fly with. Be considerate, humble, respectful... maybe a little humorous... and you'll be fine.

Very good interview practicals there Quazar.

I agree with JP get some sleep, relax, and give yourself some time in the morn. Don't be late, remember your interviewing for a job that lives and dies by the clock.

If you haven't mastered every FAR and aeronautical concept by now then you're just like everyone else before you. Relax! Take maybe an hour to study the ONE thing that's bugging you most. Go have a nice dinner tonight and a good beer or glass of wine. These guys want to hire you or they wouldn't waste their time to have you come talk with them. Shake hands, smile and discuss flying.

Take your roomie or a friend out for a beer. Have them pretend they're HR and start shooting you questions, both technical (how would brief this approach?) and HR (tell me about your strengths and weaknesses). You probably have them off the gouge.

A dry run like that will get you mentally ready for the real thing.

Just remember when flying those Saabs..
Mixtures, Throttles, Props, Identify, Verify, Feather.

and you're in like Flynn!
