Has anyone given a letter of resignation from another airline? If so do you know if they mailed it to the company?

I have a friend who is at Frontier who wrote a resignation letter to his former airline, gave his former Chief Pilot a "heads-up", sent the resignation letter, and it was "filed" by above mentioned Chief Pilot.
You will have to send a resignation letter, but you may be able to stay active w/your previous airline if you keep the lines of communication open.
Good Luck,M.K.
