I have read all the other posts about brands of flight cases. But my question is, what are your thoughts on the rolling flight cases, are they nescessary, if you have one do you like it ect?? Just trying to finalize my decision on what I want.

Not necessary, I bought a rolling one and regret it, it takes up too much room in on the flight deck. You are going to strap your flight case to your overnight bag anyways.

Laughing. < does not own a rolling case, but that was funny

get the rolling one and then remove the whole extending handle assy. It'll look less retarded and it's easier to carry by itself when the handle isn't hitting your leg. This will also make it take up a little less room in the cockpit too.

Keep the wheels though as they elevate the bottom of the case off the ground a little bit so it doesn't get wet. Also, when it's strapped to your overnight bag the wheels on the case will keep the bottom edge from dragging on the ground.

I buy the cheap ones at office depot. I had it for about 3 yrs now and it's great. No sense paying 200 or 400 or whatever.

Size matters...

Anyone know of a good large size flight case? Mine is a 19x15x9 and I want to get something in similar size. The one I have now is garbage....

Just got the bag, 89 bucks from Samsonite, NOT a rolling bag. Don't want to come across as a noodle armed sissy!!!

Did the Harbor Freight special finally give it up?
HA! Is this E.M.??? I thought I detected a little Texas accent in that post.... I've determined that one person's flight case can only carry so much gorilla glue. She has served me well though......

The only reason to buy a rollaboard is if you work for a place that is going to run you on all day trips (i.e. Colgan).
