AUG lifer (KB) was put in a shi*ty position having to walk around that piece of crap with a safety inspector.

Get use to that guys... It's not going to get any better in the near future. Places like AUG and many of the other smaller outstations will be getting unannounced visits too.

Two hull losses in less than 8 months is an attention getter, regardless of fault. Look for another pay freeze to cover the rising insurance premium... or the addition to the food court.

Yeah TSA and Colgan must have a flow-through program... either that or it's jets-for-jobs with TSA. Yeah chepr...I'd love to get to vegas....perhaps instead of the food I could give ya a little preview of my vegas show routine. Remember how you guys always wanted to see me pole-dancing in a freddie mercury wrestling suit while erotically sucking grapes? well nows your chance.

Corno...finished sim yet? call me when you get to RIC. We'll catch up for ol times.

Question, would anybody else out there who made it to a major do this? What gives?

When you go from a big fish in a small pond to a unrecognizable fish in a huge pond, your start to miss your fame and glory.

but just to give more completely realistic scenarios on those check rides

Unless he's going to start utilizing that little book called the PTS, his checkrides will continue to be just a joke.

dispatch put you this what position

I hardly think it's fair to say dispatch put someone in a bad position by releasing a pilot to fly a "c" model. If the aircraft has been signed off as airworthy, how is a dispatcher supposed to be responsible for that...don't you do a preflight and post flight inspection...you'd know better than we would if the a/c was airworthy.

av8n4life:

Correct, I thought of that after writing it. I should have said management for keeping them around so long, dispatch works with what they have, just like we do. Sure they're airworthy -- more fun to fly than the D's too, in my opinion. But they're horrible for the pax, and having an FAA safety inspector walk around it with you is like bringing your car in for inspection with multi-colored doors, bondo on the quarterpanel, and the muffler held up by a hanger -- oh, and the fuzzy dice and strange odor!
