For those current CoEx pilots:

What's the seniority of the bases right now?

How long would it take to get IAH as a base?

Anyone commuting to EWR or CLE out of IAH?

I've searched the threads already to find answers, so please no sarcastic smart*ss remarks please. Thanks.

I think it's been changing from month to month. For a while CLE was senior, but they've recently put about 50 newhires up here. You will more than likely be awarded your base of choice when hired. In some cases you may have to commute for a few months. Nothing too horid.

Going with the above reply, the worst case scenario would be 6 months. Every six months we have a bid which allows you to request a base change. It won't take that long.

Hub to hub commuting can really be difficult. Unfortunately, we have a lot of deadheading and other company employees on these flights. I did the CLE-IAH commute last summer and never missed a show time. If the direct flight was overbooked, I found an XJT through flight: CLE-MEM-IAH or CLE-TYS-IAH, etc. There's really no limit to your commuting options, it just adds hours to your commute.

If you have an interview, good luck.

See above. I'm still in training and just a call from manpower planning. They told me I should get IAH within a few months. Some in the classes before me have already gotten IAH. At first we were told that we were all going to EWR, even though we all bid IAH. The way that hiring is right now, I would say no loner than 6 months.

Good Luck
