Eagle minimums

I'm just being nosy English. If you got hired at Eagle in 2001, where'd you get your SF340 type? And why bother going to Eagle if you were already a captain?

I see you are new to the board. Everyone else already knows the story, but here goes...

I was a flight instructor with about 1100 hours when I was hired by Eagle. I flew there for 18 months and, in an effort to build some PIC turbine time, left Eagle to take a Saab captain position with Colgan. After I was typed at Colgan, I finished IOE, 9/11 happened, had two days on the line then was furloughed. I then landed a job flying a Citationjet, was typed single-pilot, and did that for two years (great job!!). Now I'm working for Aloha.

Complicated path but it got me here!

Uhhh, wait a minute! I was already in LAX in Jan. 2001. I could have sworn I flew with you out of DFW in Spring of 2000.

Could someone please explain why a low time guy like me would even consider going to Eagle? With what was posted above, I'm looking at 4 years minimum to captain. If I go anywhere else, it's less, and often half that.
