Heard 3 beech fo's called chief pilot and quit - all within 12 minutes. Also class dates for transition or upgrade are being cancelled because they have noone to cover the flying. Guys even were driving to class with all their belongings packed up and got the call on the cell and had to turn around.

Sounds like good news to me. Pinnacle Corp. and Buddy-fu&^er Casey are getting exactly what they deserve.

"Simply the Best" #2 .... It only gets better!

With or without Pinnacle this has been the history with Colgan. When I started, I was # 335 out of 339 pilots on the seniority list end of 2005, when I left summer 2007 I was # 162 out of 405 pilots….so as u can see in 21 months they were only able to add 66 pilots but in reality they hired 243. Just talked a friend that still flies for them, and as of last month his seniority was something like the upper 80’s now he is shows in the upper 70’s that’s like 9 or 10 people quitting from the very top of the list.
This will continue to get worst especially with no union and everyone hiring.

That's really ironic given Colgan's claim in the ad on this site that they are, "one of the fastest growing airlines in the nation".

Mikey got all the new hires vote no and to believe that the work rules are impressive!!! why would'nt he try to get them to believe that also????

gee whiz at 15k a pop X 180 training events were looking at about 2.7 million dollars just for training new pilots due to attrition.

yap!!!!! they do spend lots of money in training just catching up..................

Just think if they paid each FO about 10K more a year. Hmmmm I bet out of 180 people that is less then 400k in cost. They'd save 2.3 million and could make more money in productivity.

Ahh nevermind

You're right, nevermind. Those kinds of economics are waaaaay over the heads of airline management.

Especially at the "regional" level.

Don't hurt your brain trying to understand management. Believe me I've tried.

i worked there, did my time. DR asked me to keep flying around a plane whose EHSI would not work in slaved just DG. i laughed all day long. doing the milk run. knew it would be over soon. DOING THE COLGAN , partial panel style. when you're with a loser , you're with a loser....just don't stay with a loser.

they don't understand human capital. most dumbarse airline managers don't

if you crunched the numbers and talk to rank and file, they could avert the loss and come out ahead. they're just dumber than a stick in the mud.

I notice you have an MD-11 in your avatar. Did you by chance go to Gemini?
