yeah, because they already have the Q400 thing figured out for CAL! Mikey and Phil are really on top of things over there!

that won't/wouldn't happen untill after the initial 15 are up and running in ERW,BWI,ORF and PIT.

I've heard it was an area of possible expansion once 9L "proves" they can operate the Q

The real question is... What will you do when Opps tells you your original day has been pulled, Repo to the C gates, and you will now be taking NWA airlink flights due to the Pinnacle strike

Colgan in DEN? Are you guys trying to muscle in on ZK's domination of disgraceful turboprop operations out of DIA? Between us, Big Sky and the Mesa Dash Trash, I don't really know what Colgan's management thinks they can do out here that isn't already being done with marginal success - and for even less pay. They could at least have the decency to send out the 1900s instead of the Q... we're always looking for competition on the Parallel Runway Drag Race Circuit.

Lots of rumors running around the company grapevine about the future of "Q" operations, codeshares, base closures, hiring, etc...Pick a topic and you'll find a bevy of rumors. Here is a brief laundry list of the one's I've heard:

1. UAL wants the "Q" in IAD, DEN, ORD...
2. DL wants the "Q" in ATL, LAX to take over the so-called large turboprop flying operations.
3. Another order for 60 more Q-400s is "imminent".
4. "Q" will be in IAH by the summer.
5. Company operations will be consolidated in MEM (dispatch, crew scheduling, maint. control, etc...)
6. New training center.
7. SAABs will be replaced by the "Q-200".
8. Uniform allotment
9. Commuter policy defined
10. New maintenance facility in ALB and IAD (former ACA/Indy facility).

Last, but not least we do indeed still fly the Beech 1900!

I wouldn't count on the employee's of Pinnacle Airlines to buy you an additional 60 airplanes. The $80 million of OUR profits that we have already dumped into you guys has been more than enough.

Umm yeah....I'm sure Uncle Phil was planning on sending YOU a check and thanking YOU with a piece of the pie right up until he decided to buy MY airline. Face it YOU'RE not in control of this deal.

For what its worth, if you guys walk I'm not going to work here.

you forgot to mention our new call sign

Hahaha, Pinnacle can't even manage the flying it does have. A huge expansion of any sort would be a completely disastrous meltdown.

If that company tried to start up that large of an operation of Q400s across the country, I could see it putting them out of business. It would be a chaotic nightmare. If these rumors have anything behind them, its nothing more than the high ups in management having wet-dreams about being something more than a completely inept bottom feeder or an airline.

Now that I think about it, go for it Pinnacle :)

In the summer of 2006 there were rumors of three operations going on at Pinnacle. They used cutsy code names to try and cover up what they were doing but as all small people do, they like to talk about things you don't know and rumors slipped out.

One was operation Bulldog. Bulldog being Georgia and it turned out to be the Delta flying.

I can't remember the second cute little name they had but that was the purchase of Colgan and I remember the name fit.

The third operation was Avalanche. As in the name of the Colorado hockey team. That one has not come to fruition yet. It would not surprise me if there was a plan for Colgan to operate the Q400 out of DEN of behalf on UAL or Frontier or Pinnacle to fly an RJ in the same market.
