NBAA 2003 Salary Survey

Position: Chief Pilot
Aircraft Type: Cessna 550 Series
FAA Region/State: ALL REGIONS/STATES
Major Metro Area/Non-Metro Area: BOTH METRO/NON-METRO
Number of Aircraft in Department: ALL CATEGORIES

Base Salary
Average: $78,035
High: $120,000
Low: $54,000

This is 2003 info, I would add about 6% to bring it up to todays numbers...

Daily rate at the local charter company (based in SoCal) is $450 to $500 a day for Citation II PIC. They pay their CII captains 70K a year.

Is this source of info available to anyone online? If so, got a link?

The numbers posted by Falcon are pretty much right on. This will vary depending on the region that you are operating. You can get more or less dependant upon how well you can negotiate. I have always used this to my advantage.

CJ tends to be a little less.

Single pilot or crew?

A few months back I was negotiating for a single-pilot CJ1/2 position operating out of southern California. It was contract pay, no benefits for 67500 per year.
