What are the mins for Chautauqua airlines? The website lists 1500/300, but I've seen 1000/100.

Are they interviewing anyone with less than 200 multi time?

I applied to CHQ for 4 years. From having 900 TT hours and 200ME, to having 3700TT, 700ME, 1700TURBINE PIC, and a type rating. I never even got a call or a postcard. I have no idea what "the minimus" are. Maybe you need a letter from someone inside?

Just got a call today from CHQ...I had no internal recommendation. My times are 3500TT and 220ME, with about 115 of that ME jet time. Hmm...

Smooth

Actually, nobody on the inside (CHQ Pilots) know the answer to your questions either. We have not been able to figure out what it takes to get someone an interview. It seems that L.O.R.'s don't mean a great deal either. who knows... just keep trying..

who knows

now may be a good time to submit or resubmit... I don't know much about their process but I just did the online application about 3-4 months ago and they called back within about a month to schedule and interview. I had to respectfully decline the interview but i was quite surprised how fast they called.

had about 1500tt with 450 multi i think, 300 of that 121 sic turbine.

There is a couple dirty tricks to GET PAST ROSA. Go above her or below her. Don't waste your time with her, she is the BIGGEST WASTE of time and help for CHQ employees.

From what I can tell, their is really no method to the madness here @CHQ. If you have less than 1500 TT, it seems to all be Purduebees. Competetive seems to be from about 2000TT to about 4000TT with about 500+ Multi. I came from another 121 carrier, so I assumed that helped. Keep trying. It's really been a pleasure so far, glad to be here.

Ez

Its "ez" to get an interview at Chautauqua. Just put an "ez" behind your last name and you'll get a phone call from Rosa to fly the "jet aircrafts".

Dude....you got wayyyy too much time on your hands. Don't you have recurrent to study for or something....:D

confused

I don't know who you're talking to SC. Recurrent - me? You got the wrong guy, I guess.
Actually, you should be doing something to get ready for your recurrent - although - I don't know what "something" is!

The 6/22 new-hire class of 30 has MANY people (prob 2/3) below 1500/300. Most are around 1300-1400 with about 150-175 multi, but there are 4-5 that had above 1000/100 but below 1200/150. And NO, not all these guys are Purdue grads - there are quite a few DCA peeps in there too.

LOTS of hiring for the month of July, good luck!

Your mileage may vary...

There is no rhyme or reason to who chq picks to interview. I honestly think that the people who get called are the ones at the top of the stack on the day they decide to make phone calls. The human resources person in charge of pilot recruitment is overwhelmed with resumes and is incompetant. As far as I can see, they do not save your resume for any length of time and if you asked them to find it, lets say after a few months, they probably could'nt. My best advice is persistance. Continue to send in an updated resume every month. If you have a friend in the company, have them ask the chief pilot to walk it in, endorse it, and put it on the top of the pile. Chq has a few faults, and this is a big one, but it is still one of the best regionals out there. Hang in there and when you finally get here we will welcome you with open arms.

HR does keep all the resumes they recieve - Rosa had a small forest in and around her office and interns shredded about 13 boxes of resumes and apps in the past two weeks, some from hired pilots and some not hired (the most recent resume was about 9 months old). What I don't know is when those resumes were put in storage. Attached to the resumes was every LOR submitted for that person. Each seemed to be read and noted because they had highlighted markings on them.

From what I have seen, I agree that persistance is your best bet. Have people submit LORs to both Rosa and the CP (if possible), send your updated resume every month or so, and make sure to call to follow up that it has been recieved. HR is looking for people that want to work for RJET, and yes, Rosa is swamped, so be patient yet persistant.

FWIW...once again, your mileage may vary.
