random question- for those having already intervied, whats the
sim eval. like? I heard its a PCAD.

And for those in training, does the sim scripts mostly still work out of memphis?

thanks fellas

When I interviewed for my intern position, I saw the sim. Its an Elite PCATD, and everybody tells me it is *very* unstable, especially in pitch. I was told by training staff they are mainly looking for basic attitude instrument skills and procedures. My interviewer told me only "low-time" interviewees do the sim. I think they consider low time under 1500, but don't hold me to that.

I think you can find a good gouge on www.aviationinterviews.com

Good luck!

All the training sim flights were out of MEM...at least they were over the summer at STL.

thanks guys. Anyone know anything else about the sim eval?
But guess with a lot of luck, might not have to take it.

First off you have to be some what qualified to get the job. There are very few golden spoons left to give out. The aplicants on average are very qualified.

- The Pool is only for purdue grads that would be hired if they had more time. This is because they have a flow through agreement. We have other feeder sources and some of them may be added to the pool all though I am not aware of any.

- The sim is only a tool. I dont like it but it is there. Use proper procedures and just dont crash it!

Be professional, update your resume' and keep flying, remember recency of experience counts.

Good Luck to all, it is worth the hard work.
