So, I bought this laquered spikey blow fish at the beach. He or she is about the size of a large basketball. Time to jumpseat home tomorrow. You think the spikey fish will show up on the TSA xray?

He is hollow...however...he is really spikey and I am worried those spikes will look teh weird on teh scanner.

Thoughts?

I would guess you will have to carry it (rather than check it) and put it in a cardboard box so that the spikes don't get broken off. Make sure you write "fragile" on the box so you can sue the TSA idiots for damaging your fish. I can see them saying that "screw drivers are allowed on the planes but the spikes on your fish could be used as a weapon, we can't allow that on-board."

Fold it in half...That should get it through. ;)

Yeah, so I wussed out. I ended up shipping it to my self Fedex ground. Hope it holds up.

But the funny thing was I asked the tsa dude at MCO and he said it would have been fine:(

I though this was going to be a thread about music...Hoootie's making a comeback or something like that.
