Can you recommend a good first build?

Hi, I'v always wanted to build a balsa wood RC Spitfire, or P51 or something, but I've never gotten around to it. I thought it might be a nice project for my son and I to work on together. Can anyone recommend something? We're complete beginners,

so don't want the build to be near impossible, but a challenge is good. And when it comes to flying, again we're complete beginners. Many thanks!
