I'm going to need to spend a night in ATL next wednesday before going down to Mexico with my wife. I was wondering what hotels offer airline discounts and have shuttle service to ATL.

I called the Country Inn & Suites already and they're all booked up, so is the the Westin. Where do people usually stay?

Thanks.

Most of the surrounding hotels do, there's like one million and one of them. Some are in the hood, others next door to it. Something nice to do is to try to find the college in College Park, GA (it is a town adjacent to the airport) if you have time to kill and kevlar. Comair crews stay at the Westin ATL Airport. Nice lunch buffet.

But, the best deal would be to bid on priceline or orbitz. My wife always beats out the crew rates at properties when bidding. Just a thought.

Tailwinds...

Try priceline.com I was able to get a very nice hotel for about $50 bucks. The airline rate for the hotel was $80.

The SLEEP INN on Sullivan Rd offers crew rooms for $37 plus $4.44 tax. Their number is 770-996-6100, and they do have a light continental breakfast and van service to the terminal.

I have also used Priceline on numerous occasions and usually get a 2 1/2 star hotel for around 35-40 bucks, but not all the time (about 70% I guess).

I should add that the Sleep Inn is in a pretty safe location also, just south of the airport, although I wouldn't go wondering around at night. The hotel is right behind Ruby Tuesday also, so at least you don't have to walk far to get a beer and burger.

I have also seen Delta crews there but not sure if it's an overnight hotel for them. Could be commuters using the place.

The DL mainline/EV crew hotel is the Westin off Riverdale Road. Nice facility, and as stated before a good lunch buffet. Other nice ones in the immediate vicinity on the north side of the airport are the Hilton, Renaissance, and Courtyard.

Woodward Academy is in College Park. It is one of the oldest private schools in Atlanta and at one time was a college. It later became a Military school and then in the sixties it became a high end college prep school. It actually has a very nice campus. I most of you could care less, but I went there for a while so I just needed to clarify some things.

Frats,

A friend of mine just stayed at the Westin. They gave him an airline rate of $50, but they tack on $6 a day for parking if you have a rental car.
