so says JA, in his message to ASA.

"Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to quell any rumors about SkyWest, Inc. merging Atlantic Southeast Airlines and SkyWest Airlines. The SkyWest, Inc. Board of Directors continues to strongly believe that operating ASA and SkyWest as independent carriers is the best course of action for both airlines’ success."

Because integrating the two airlines would allow ALPA a free ride into St. George.

Merging the companies and merging the pilot seniority lists are two completely different merges. Of course they wouldn't merge the companies!!

Where was that posted?

Look for the announcement tomorrow: We will be merged by New Years...

We know this because SKYWEST MANAGEMENT SAID SO! They would never lie!

I do however believe it. There will be no merger, SkyWest Airlines will be phased out and replaced with ASA.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!!!

John,

It's great that you have passion for your airline. I hope that passion drives you to do the little things to make life better for ASA every day. But why the hostility and possessiveness towards our "base(s)?"

I'd kind of like to keep my job and stay in my base...

I agree with you that sometimes the relationship with management can be contentious and sometimes things don't always turn out the way they or we want or hoped. There's alot of things that I'd like changed about SkyWest, but overall it's been mostly good as opposed to mostly bad.

But you can't seriously believe that SKYW Inc. management would fold their namesake airline into an a purchased airline do you? Why would they do that? What would be the benefit to them?

Capien27,

It appears you haven't been around long here. That post absolutely dripped with sarcasm. There aren't many at ASA that want to see anything bad to happen to OO pilots. We would like some more bases but we don't want to see you guys pushed out to make room. Could happen though. Nature of the game.

All you base are belong to us? I know your really new with that.

But it's okay for your guys to quite seriously make posts about ASA dying "on the vine"? Talk about a double standard. Do you people have any common sense over there? WTF.

Apparently wearing magic pajamas all day really messes with their heads.
