Does anyone know how they handle the displacement of the 80 ATR pilots?

I also heard from a lead mechanic that DCI owns all of the Dornier Props from ACA, he said that ASA would get those. Any thought?

You mean DoJETS, and they're most likely going to Skyway, not ASA.

the do-jets are going to skyway airlines. skyway flies b-1900 and starting this year they will takeover do-jets and fly out of cincy. oh by the way their mins are appx. 750TT 50multi.

You're Kidding, Right?

Lower than 750/50 for you EMBRY-RIDDLE pilots? Give me a break. Sure, we'll save you from becoming a better pilot and that tedious flight instruction. We hire people that want this job, not people looking for shortcuts. We aren't the new Piedmont. 750/50 is plenty low enough.

Being a GOOD pilot gets you in sooner. Nice website. I had my picture taken in front of a XB-70 once. Boy, do I look short in front of that thing! Ah, good times.

Matt,

This is by no means a flame, but PLEASE, lose the website from your information. Trust me on this, a WMU guy got it good about 6 months ago for a similar deal.

And don't ask if being ERAU will get you lower mins. As you progress, you will find that successful, proven schools tend to have flow-through or preferential hiring agreements with certain airlines. Stay humble, work your tail off, stay humble, hone those instrument skills, stay humble, get your CFI and try to find jobs within the industry to make contacts, and by all means, be HUMBLE. Being an ERAU (or Purdue, or WMU, or UND, etc) student will open doors for you, but don't ever expect anything because of it.

Once again, this is not a flame, just some friendly advice from somebody (a little) higher up the chain. Good luck on your flying.

Matt,

Take boiler's advice. As a fellow ER grad, I can tell you that the 4-year degree may look good but the tell tale riddle attitude that goes along with the degree does not. Be humble, patient, polite, and realize that you are no better than any other pilot because you went to Riddle. Riddle is not that great, we paid wayyyy to much money. Your skills and personality will make you or break you. Leave the Riddle background on the resume unless specifically asked about it in an interview. Good luck in the future.

MATT DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!!!

I graduated from Riddle in 2002 and I am now a Delta 777 captain. So what if my daddy is Leo Mullin???!?!??! He had to be a CEO of some kind to afford the tuition.

Cheers BRO!!!!!!

Based on my experiences with Riddle clowns, the mins should be twice as high for you. I'll take an ex freight pilot any day.

good website....but i wouldn't have it on here either. We are bloodthristy here. Everyday after you graduate some clown on here will be asking you where is your jet job? Why aren't you flying a jet yet? I'm a few years removed from riddle, aero sci degree yada yada yada...haven't touched a jet yet. NWA, and Americia west interviews are years away yet.

I heard the same rumor and had to put it in the bin beside the Dash8 Q400 Rumor. For more accurate news you might want to refer to the information from the Delta MEC and the RJDC updates.

My guess is that if there are any new aircraft types added to the property, they will not be flown by ASA, or Comair, pilots until every Delta pilot who wants to fly has had their opportunity and refused it.

The Dornier would have the same problems as the PEC, for fewer passengers and the same fuel burn - so I very seriously doubt ASA would operate it, even if the airframes were free.

They really should offer an immediate post grad class at Riddle called 'Understanding Real World Aviation.' The objective of the class will be to teach the eager grads how not to make @sses of themselves when they get that first CFI/Freight/Airline job. The Professor should be a Line Captain at a Regional with many a good story under his/her belt, heck even a former Riddle Grad would be good. It's the only way I can see some of these guys getting deprogramed from ERAU other then HARSH REAL WORLD REALITY. I haven't flown with a captain yet who doesn't mumble the words 'Riddle' and offer an embarassed look when I ask him where he learned to fly. BTW, like others have said, lose the homepage quick. There are alot of bored guys on reserve that prowl this page.

I'm thinking perhaps Matt didn't log out of one of the school computers. the guy's got 162 hours and is working on his instrument rating. On his resume, under "experience," he lists a day-long session in a high-altitude chamber.

Matt, it's great that you're so enthusiastic. God knows we all were at one time, but please remove any link to your web site from this board.

Does anyone know what happened to the thread on the main board? It seems to have vanished.

Probably a Riddle conspiracy. Those guys are the best. It would be naive to think they don't have conncections that could delete a thread disparaging the good name of the finest aviation university in the world.

BTW, anyone know a good barber where I could get a cut like

<------This???

Matt... Later in your career when some one slames people from Riddle remember your post and you'll know why
At some point you will find that having "Riddle" on your resume doesn't mean much. The crap that they feed you while you are there is just that. Crap. Its all about the experiance you gain with the path you take. Attitude is everything. If you go into an interview with an attitude that you deserve something because of one thing or another, you are most likely not going to get that job.
Unless the president of a company says hire him (or her) everyone is pretty much equal at the start of the interview.

ERAU class of 2002

Metro Sheriff you are a real jerk. All I wanted to do was put a webpage online to share my passion for flying and all I get is slammed by a bunch of mean spirited jerks like yourself. I hope one day that I never get you as an F/O!

Dude, please stop. STOP DIGGING NOW, THEY ARE GOING TO EAT YOU ALIVE MAN!!!! Everyone digs the passion for flying, trust me. We're just looking out for your best interests. IF you want some advice, take down the link, stop talking and sit back and observe for a few hundred more hours (at least).
