Heard they are opening a OAK base and getting more 757 and no over nights and home every night.

If your asking about ALLEGIANT, OAK has been announced and will open in April. A quick search of this website will detail fleet plans and QOL. No classes scheduled that I am aware of, however that is likely to change with little or no notice! You can apply on the company website when the application window is open, which is usually with little or no notice. Check back frequently. Haven't heard of anyone getting an interview recently without a recommendation.

Thanks for the Alligent info. Sounds like a winner joint.

No hiring currently planned. That could change tomorrow or next year. When it is announced I'm certain someone will post it on here.

How many total 757s? I thought Allegiant had acquired 6 birds. Any info on potential Honolulu pilot base for the 757s?

Also, are LAX and IWA still relatively senior bases?

6 total 757's with 4 on property by June as they come off leases. HNL and LAS announced as bases for the 757. Long term plan for LAX seems to be unclear, wouldn't hold my breath for an LAX. IWA is still relatively senior (FO's), however I believe a recent newhire was awarded IWA out of class. Hire a lot of ex Mesa pilots so IWA is always very popular.

More than ever, limiting headcount is a major corporate priority. They seem to be content to try and scramble with too few pilots rather than be a little fat. There is supposedly a pool so any new class might consist of pilots pulled from that.

Recent class did have newhires go to IWA but several from that class are on the waiting list for IWA so the next class will probably have to wait a while.
