"One of these traditions is ASA’s annual turkey give-a-way. Today the tradition continues as ASA employees receive a turkey coupon with their pay checks as a token of our appreciation for all you do every day for ASA"

ASA's annual turkey "give-a-away"? I don't remember in the last 6 years that this was an annual thing. Anyone else? I know that Skywest gave us one for x-mas last year, but that's about it. Anyone been here longer than 6 years remember getting turkeys?

WTF? I certainly don't remember any annual turkey "give-a-ways" in the six years I was there either. Well, there was the infamous Christmas cookies we all remember so fondly but that's a whole other issue. Don't worry though, Brian L. and uncle Jerry are probably stuffing your turkey as we speak!

The only "turkeys" you guys got is JA and co. Now you know how the other half lives. Ain't it grand.

To quote the great Mr. Carlson:

"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"

ASA got one last year. It was for some off the wall brand. The coupon stated that you could use it for another brand, only if the stated brand wasn't available. Ran into nothing but trouble trying to redeem it.

They did talk about all the "other" stuff we get that other regionals don't when I got hired. And how all that other "stuff" when added up means I really am getting more.

I just am so excited to see all of my hard work has paid off.

Why didn't you just leave then if it wasn't what you were expecting to get? Nobody is holding a gun to your head or anyone elses.... Quit flapping your gums man....do something about it.....

The turkeys are a nice gesture and better than anything we used to get.... Skywest has made some improvements and I believe they will continue to make more..... Some of you however will never be happy....

Tip on using coupon

Tradition?????? WTF. Using this word shows how stupid they are.

Tip: Go to Harry's and get the most expensive one they have, organic. They didn't carry the brand on the coupon so you get to get anyone you want up to a certain weight.

That is if this year is the same as last year when they started this great tradition.

...I agree with the silly use of "tradition". If you're talking about the tradition of silly/stupid remarks from the G.O., well then, they are right on target.

Speaking of the cookies...you guys remember when someone put them on Ebay for ...50cents I think it was. MJ printed it out.

You have to be creative in your thinking with this one. ASA has been giving its employees "the bird" for as long as I can remember.

LOL I had the same problem. I even asked for the manager at Kroger but no luck. So, finally gave up and bought the Turkey. Thanks

Freaking Awesome! Bravo on the obsure reference, sir. Bravo.

Les Nessman: "No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!"

I had no difficulty redeeming it over here in Birmingham at Winn-Dixie. I paid a little more 'cause I needed a big bird for all the folks coming over.

Bought one today. Wish ASA would have given the coupons out earlier as I don't go in until Sunday, but the gesture is appreciated.

Hoser, I'm with you. It is appreciated. Who knows it could be a new wave of the future at ASA?
