On crewweb....Company officials will be in ATL to meet employees and have a company meeting...????

The employees save the most money in most airlines already.?? What else could they say, that we don't already know.

Hopefully, it's not a big "we're moving backwards" notice.

Good Luck.

Maybe it's to tell you that they are going to sell advertising space on the side of the airplanes. :)

I've been hearing that rumor for about 2 weeks now, coupled the the word that the loss posted today would be almost double initial estimates (which held up today).

Nothing official or course, and no, NOT from the NPA, but hearing it nonetheless,,,

Personally hoping it's just a nasty rumor. :(

And how much did we pay Danica Patrick to use her image on the side of one of our airplanes? I am curious as to how much revenue that actually brings in ie advertising like that. Personally I thinks it sucks as I cannot stand that chick.

Are you saying you'd rather have "Elton John" on the side of your plane????????

I'm sure it's a meeting to quell rumors from the "sky is falling" group of employees. I'm not overly concerned with today's numbers. I, like lear 70 can see where we took some "liberties" with the numbers. The real number is far lower than reported. I'm sure that we will recapture gains from the 1st quarter in the 2nd quarter filings. To all my fellow brothers, I would'nt be reaching for the panic button right now.

Couldn't you do that with an email., versus everyone spending gas money to travel 25-40 miles to the airport area to hear, everything is fine !!! Trust us Everything is Fine...??

It means more when you can see a face telling you everything is fine. Kind of like when "Baghdad Bob" was on Iraqi television when we first invaded Iraq saying, "The Americans are not in Baghdad, everything is fine..." as you can see and hear explosions in the background...

Agreed. For now, I'm not too worried. If oil reaches $125/bbl and stays there for a while, that would be the time to worry. Until then, I think everyone is overreacting a little bit.

So by next week I should start trying to use my history degree for the 2008-2009 school year?

But hey the Cubs are off to a good start this season so I got that going for me...goonga galoonga

Hi!

Within 2-3 years, we will be WISHING oil was still at $125/barrel.

Hang on to your hats, and write your gov't officials promoting an Apollo-type program, where we spend a lot of government money to switch to alternative energy sources.
