We have a pilot at Pinnacle based in Detroit with the same name. I am hoping it is NOT the same guy.. Flew with him a few months ago. Seemed like a nice guy

The news said it was an NWA pilot, but it could mean he was flying under NWA colors, ie. Pinnacle.

It is / was a Pinnacle Airlines pilot.

Extremely shocking, nice guy, level-headed, didn't seem the type at all... everyone in ops today was kinda rattled about it - it's still a somewhat small airline and most everyone knows everyone up there if they've been around the last year or so.
