Just wondering if anyone has heard anything recently as to who may be driving these things? I heard that Skyway was advertising for FA's in the Cincinnati area a while back, but then things went quiet. The end of ACA's contract is fast approaching is in not? I thought they were supposed to announce back in June what the Master Plan was. Did I miss something?

Although Delta said that they will end the contract in November 04, there has been nothing set in stone(at least if it has it hasn't been announced). Just the rumor mill stuff. Any SkyWay guys know if there company is "ramped up" to handle some mass numbers of pilot/FA training?

p.s. Sorry to answer a question with a question

Im on the Beechside at skyway and it seems as if they are sure doing a lot of hiringaround here....just my .02

Saw a job posting for FAs in CVG for 3 airlines. Mesaba, an understandable posting, because we have a crew base here in desperate need of FAs. Skyway for the possible 328 handover... and guess who? Everyones favorite airline... MESA. Perhaps they've got a bid in too for the jets and are being proactive. It sure seems odd though, with the end near and no new operator.

328's to replace the ATR's...no. CRJ700's yes. Skyway ramping up is an understatement. We have around a hundred people in training right now. We have at least two upgrades a month running. Future new hires will not have a quick upgrade unless we have a lot of low time new hires. Everyone hired here from now on can expect to be based in CVG. I'm sure the FA job offers can/will be filled by the time we start operating the jets. We should be ready to take ten airplanes by NOV. 1. It depends how fast we can hire and train. Of course, we still have no official announcement on this thing.

MESA to operate these things? Well, I suppose it COULD happen. I know we could even be underbid by Mesa. But, Mesa has never flown these airplanes. They would have to get the type cert., do proving runs, train 30 airplanes worth of crews. Two years from now to staff all 30 birds. Skyway can have ten moving by NOV. 1. Could Mesa be after other DCI flying? Anyone, anyone?

Well for Skyway to operate these things would seems logical.... Which is probably why y'all won't get them. I just wonder why they are waiting so long to make the official announcement with ACA exiting DCI in a couple of months?

What are Skyway's mins these days? I've heard everything from 750/50 to 1200/2, all from sources I don't trust. Anyone in the know?

Just talked to George the other week about a friend who was looking to get on with skyway and he said that 12 and 2 is competitive and they really take stock in local pilots. I would say 1,200+ and 200+ is a good start.

As for the ACA side.....

Word is that we are 100% sure that we will be closing CVG as of Nov 1. Still have no idea where the airplanes are going. Skyway is the unofficial word but no confirmation.
