Would like to lease a 6 seat single prop

The AOPA partnership site is good. Might try approaching people with planes for sale about a lease. Cessna pilots society http://www.cessna-pilots.net/ has a decent number of people on their forums. Cessna.org has more members but is $50 to join

Mooney rentals in the DC area?

SHD had one 15 years ago. Have seen very very few for Public rent. Suspect you'd have better luck arranging something with a private owner.

    Aircraft recommendation

How much do the proposed pax/pilot/bags weigh? 4 adults plus bags and tks fluid is tough in a cirrus. Could be tough even in a T210 if the guys are 250 lbs+

    Aircraft recommendation

T210, P210 and PA46 (Malibu) all fit that mission well. All can be had with roughly 1400 lb. useful load. 190kts on 15 gph for the pressurized versions at altitude. 300 lb of fuel would be adequate for most of the missions you describe, perhaps 400. That would work if guys aren't too big...

    Hawaii Fuel Planning

On another board I frequent, there's a "what's the smallest plane I can fly to Hawaii" thread going. The poster does a lot of T210 flying across the Caribbean and isn't concerned with wet vs. dry footprint. His main question is how one goes about setting fuel reserves strictly based on winds...

    Quick Aviation Data Entry Project

More a project than a job, but thought this would be the best place for it. I'd like someone to do some data collection off controller.com to help in my search for a 421. Pretty straightforward stuff. Would be very easy for a CFI to do with free hours here and there at the airport.

How much pay would you ask for?

If you're still wondering about a/c mgmt experience, check out http://savvymx.com/. Absolutely no stake in the company - I've just taken Mike's course and plan to use him when I buy my plane.

    Larger Flight School Closes Doors

Ideal aviation at KCPS has a 172. There was a school at Columbia (grass strip) with a warrior and a luscombe but they closed after both airplanes were wrecked the same month. I know of nothing else on the IL side. (And not much on the MO side with the substantial excepion of 3SQ/St Charles)

Willow Run airport is in trouble

Meigs had not received federal funds and so the city was not obligated to keep it open. All they had to do was give notice to the FAA of the closure. (They didn't and got some slap on the wrist fine.)

FAR Changes, a new way to "double up," under part 61.

Is the PIC and can log PIC are totally different concepts that unfortunately have very similar names.

    preowned SR-22's - price question

Cirrus has had very good luck producing some serial upgraders. I know one guy who went from a G2 to a G2 Turbo to a G3 Turbo to a G3 G1000 Turbo. He's an extreme case, but there are a number of people who have bought two new Cirri in the last 5 years. Hence the used glut - which was apparent...

CFI aspiring MEI (but not career pilot) looking for a partner in a time building twin to be based at KCPS (Downtown St Louis). Budget $20-25K/person.

    Soaring in Hawaii

I spent a morning taking some glider demo flights at honolulu soaring/Mr. Bill's (same place) at Dillingham. It's a reasonable drive from HNL - an hour give or take but a very pleasant one. They have a variety of gliders available including one setup for acro. Very friendly, approachable...

    Fling Single Pilot CJ's

The FAA, insurance industry and Cessna seem to think he (in the abstract) is capable of this. There's no denying that single-pilot owner flown jets have a worse safety record than professional, 2-crew jets. But that's a subjective matter of risk tolerance. It's not as if he's playing Russian...

    Fling Single Pilot CJ's

Does the guy want to fly _with_ you or just have you fly it until he does? If it's the latter, I can't see how it would matter to you. There are plenty of example of successful people flying jets - certainly no more dangerous than people flying Cirri or Barons. The owner might be able to...

Piper Saratoga Versus Beech Bonanza - Need Opinions
