    Palwaukee Flyers

Why was the previous thread deleted? This scumbag needs to be shut down, for good. Let everyone read the old one, this one, and draw their own conclusions. Nice history on the CFI by the way, how many practical tests can a single person fail? With a suspended private certificate and...

    Life Insurance For Pilots

I used The Hartford. They really only care if you still fly a lot of GA, or instruct GA. Being an airline pilot makes no difference. Your rates are much more dependent on your age, and medical exam, during which they draw blood for a blood chemistry test.

Tips to flying the Boeing 727

Does anyone remember Len Morgan's column in Flying magazine called "Flying the 3 Holer"? It was a great piece of writing, I have searched google for it, but cannot find it online. I actually do still own the issue where they reprinted it, in April of 2000.

UAX De-ice Brake Drop Issue - Chicago

Call for push, cancel request, and if they need a reason why, your answer is "a passenger got up to take a dump."

Ever had anyone like this on your airplane?

My guess, not alcohol... Ah, devil ether. It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor skills. Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interesting...

Jetblue circus revisited- 1st stuck in the lav, now the cargo hold

The rear cargo bay is unpressurized and unheated, so he would have been pretty uncomfortable to say the least... It said they only went to 17,000 and the flight took 37 minutes (which I assume is block out to block in, flight time being considerably less). He probably would not have died (I've...

    Blackberry ?

As far as I know, you absolutely cannot use an Iphone on the Verizon network. The Iphone is a GSM device, and Verizon uses a CDMA network. As far as BB logbooks, here is one http://www.dauntless-soft.com/PRODUCTS/Safelog/BlackBerry/ Tried it, didn't like it.

    Airbus sound question

Funny this thread should come up, I was deadheading on a UA bus the other day, and this sound started. These passengers around me (obviously not the most well seasoned travelers) started to freak out. I then got to listen to a 15 minute dissertation about how this airplane was a piece of junk...

    Eagle in trouble with FAA

Best. Comment. Ever. Large aircraft absolutely must be properly loaded and balanced. The flight navigator spends much of his time pumping jet fuel from wing tanks or belly tanks to keep things in trim. An unbalanced aircraft is vulnerable to sudden shifts inwind direction, especially on final...
