Whoever keeps trying to take their personal crap through the KCM ckpoints......

What about an LCA who is on duty but is wearing a coat and tie?

DAL and its employees being anti-union is holding up FAA funding bill

You can still unionize if you want. Reid is trying to make it impossible not to unionize. Face it, some employee groups do not want a union. If they don't, it should not be forced upon them.

    ATNMEC closes pilot web board

Wow. I don't even think DALPA would sink that low.

    Blue Angels commander steps down

If true, I would tell his wife.

    UCon contract?

Lee Moak is the ALPA national chairman. Never underestimate how much he will lean on MECs to accept scope concessions. He has never seen a scope concession he didn't like.

Former AWA pilots willing to cross.

If the 5-8 year west pilot is a captain or a very senior FO and the 20+ year east pilot is a junior FO, then yes the west pilot should be, and is, senior to the east pilot.

Southwest Pilot Holds Plane For Murdered Child's Family

Good job by the Southwest pilot. But don't assume for a second that Southwest has a monopoly on pilots who would do that. I have held flights many times to get someone on. All it takes is someone to give me the information so I know to hold it.

    1261 days to go!

    Best airplane I've ever flown.

FFDO criticizes TSA gets visited at home by six LEOs

Then don't become an FFDO. I very much believe in the program. It has made all flight crew and passengers safer. The fact that there might be an armed pilot is a deterrent to hijacking. You should thank the guys at your airline who are FFDOs.

    DAL New Hire Demographic

I'll have to try that on my wife later.

    DAL New Hire Demographic

That's BS. I know of a female that was hired at UAL with just over 600 hours TT, about 50 of that ME. I still have the FAPA magazine that gave her statistics. I challenge you to show me anyone hired at Delta who is even close to that low in hours.

TSA pilot issue on abc evening news

With guys like you it's no wonder the government is scaling back on the program.

    DAL Training

actually I think it means you will be finished with training by April. Conversion date is the date you are actually assigned to a category for bidding and pay purposes. I would guess you will be done with sims and OE in March.

Delta all but cancels 787 deliveries

I agree and disagree with this statement. I think the 787 is an excellent design. Where the program fell apart was in too much outsourcing, which was absolutely driven by the bean counters. Sounds good on paper. Had this airplane been built almost entirely in Seattle, I suspect it would be on...

    Delta Q3 profit

Hmm, how many 76 seat RJs are flying in DAL colors today?
  18. michael707767

    Delta Q3 profit

Under Moak the Delta pilots have given up career crippling amounts of scope. I predict more scope give ups industry wide under Moak's leadership.

    The logic of relative seniority

All things being pretty equal, pay rates, benefits, work rules, retirement, etc, I think relative seniority is the way to go. But you can't say the #1 guy at Virgin goes in equal to the #1 320 pilot at Delta. Nor can you say the #1 747 pilot at Kalitta goes in with the #1 747 pilot at UPS...

    Well, today was the day

Best post I've ever read regarding the TSA.
